> BACKGROUND
Eastern Data & Electrical (EDE) is a team of electricians, based in Melbourne. The business mainly focuses on installing large scale lighting for indoor and outdoor sports venues, i.e. tennis courts, basketball courts, etc. Key characteristics that EDE aims to show are professionalism, reliability and value for money.

> BRIEF
The client was seeking a corporate identity (logo), which would emphasise quality and excellence. EDE chose our 'Advanced Logo Package' , which consists of an initial choice of four logos, with three versions of each logo, and two revisions of the chosen logo (14 logos in total). EDE also planned to carry the logo on future business stationery and other corporate branding.

> OUR SOLUTION
The simplistic colour scheme of blue and grey, on a white background, is straightforward yet distinct, giving an impression of quality and professionalism. There are two elements to the logo - the 'e' in its own blue shape, and the name of the business on a grey base. This means the client is able to use each part of the logo independently, for example where there is limited space it can still show the brand. The typeface is contemporary/futuristic, yet clearly legible, giving EDE a clear and competitive edge.

The 3D effect ensures the brand on the card captures people's attention and makes a bold impression. Having a double sided business card allows the name of the business to get noticed on the front, whilst leaving plenty of room for all the important contact details on the back. Because there are two parts to the logo, we have been able to use the smaller portion to incorporate the brand on the back as well.

The dark blue of the singlet is an ideal background for the lighter blue and grey of the EDE logo. Wearing a uniform that displays the business's logo is a great way of showing a professional and established business, as well as a marketing tool.

EDE Lighting requested a single page website, to create an online presence and market the business to a wide demographic. We enhanced this by using Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) and including a contact form, as opposed to email, for a user-friendly point of contact. By having a cutting edge website with high quality imagery and animation, EDE Lighting are differentiating themselves from their competitors and giving an impression of a large, well established business. This means visitors to the site are not only impressed, but are also more likely to use EDE Lighting's services. As the business grows, it can expand to a multi-page website.
